Documenting Policy and Procedures

  Image credit: rawpixel on Freepik The article ‘‘ Understanding Governance Documents ’ provided a framework and hierarchy of commonly used governance documents and the article ‘ Developing Effective Process & Procedures ’ dealt in detail about the process to be followed if the Process and Procedures developed are to be effective. In these articles we have seen that for achieving consistency, standardisation, business continuity, meeting the requirements of certification standards and various other reasons, it is important to document the Governance Documents. Two of the documents that are invariably found in most organisations, irrespective of their size and nature of business are Policy, and Procedures.
